Maria Schmidt
At the beginning of her career, as a Registered Nurse, Maria’s experience with the afterlife heightened working with gerontology and the death & dying stages of life. Later as a co-operator of one of the most haunted inns in Florida, her curiosity for scientifically-based approaches was further intensified. In addition, she realized that there was a need to help, promote and advance the field of haunted tourism.
With this enthusiasm, Maria founded Mysterious Adventures Tours, LLC, igniting the travel and tourism world with year-round offerings to the most mystical lands in the world! Her mission, through her company based out of Ohio, is to offer multi-day packaged experiences that embrace the most mysterious, sacred, spiritual, chilling, breath-taking, haunted, and stunning places around the world. This new innovative travel genre of “Haunted Tourism” brings together vagabonds and explorers escorting them to the most unique and twisted destinations. Their itineraries are carefully crafted to satisfy the utmost curiosity for the supernatural and otherworldly. Often, she will include “Ambassadors” who are considered influencers and experts in the industry. Available and upcoming destinations include Ireland, Wales, England, Scotland, New Orleans, Gettysburg, Romania, Egypt, Greece, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. To secure the best experiences, all tours are limited to 35 travelers or less.

Neil R Storey
Neil R. Storey is an award-winning author with a canon of over 50 published books and countless articles. He is an internationally respected expert on Bram Stoker, British ghosts, legends, and folklore. He has amassed a huge archive and library of associated literature, first and rare editions, letters, photographs, and memorabilia. Neil is the creator of the Grim Almanac series of books (published by History Press) that chart the ghosts, dark deeds, and folkloric history of Britain by county. Neil wrote the volumes on Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Essex, and Jack the Ripper's London. He is also the author of the ground-breaking Dracula Secrets and such volumes as London Crime Death and Debauchery, The Ghost Hunter's Guide to Norfolk, Victorian Prisons and Prisoners, and The Victorian Criminal. He also has written some of the volumes in the quirky 'Little Book' series including The Little Book of Murder and The Little Book of Death. Neil is a well-liked and respected historian with a ready wit and a great love of the subject. He has real character and gravitas. A graduate of the University of East Anglia he has produced well researched, good quality, and original history books and lectures for over 30 years.
