James Keenan is an author and field investigator. He has a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara—his main focus having been anthropology and archaeology. He regularly conducts investigations and technology, data collection at sites around the world that appear to be connected to distant lost history and/or unexplainable events. Some of the more well-known sites include Blind Frog Ranch and Skinwalker Ranch in Northeastern Utah. His findings have led him to believe that the unexplainable and ancient, lost history are partly linked together. This includes his extensive research into the giants of the Americas and their connection to past Native American oral traditions.

Prior to becoming an author, James had a career in law enforcement and private investigations that spanned over twenty years. James has appeared on numerous radio and podcast shows. His television appearances include shows on the Travel Channel, the History Channel, and Gaia. James appeared on season two of the History Channel series, The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch.
