Melissa St. Hilaire grew up in the backwoods of Massachusetts, had her first mediumship experience at age three, began reading tarot cards at twelve, and has been mystified by the occult ever since.

An Intuitive Reader and Medium at the Green Man store in North Hollywood, she offers Spellcrafting Services, a Psychic Development Circle series, Mediumship Training, and Victorian table tipping seances. Although she read privately for many years, her career launched after she was selected to be one of four psychics for Midsummer Scream’s popular Leota’s Lounge at the Grim Grinning Gala. Since then she’s been featured on many occult and paranormal podcasts and publications like Sheena Metal’s Raising The Vibration on LA Talk Radio, Dead Air, the Glitter Cast, Where the Magick Happens, and Arcane Magazine, as well as the Dark Zone Network’s LAPD Haunted Hollywood event.

Melissa runs the popular @AmericanWitch13 Instagram account where she shares custom spells, witch tips, and memes. An author and researcher, she wrote tarot based horoscopes for The Heights Inc, her poetry has appeared in the periodicals Shards, The Outer Fringe, and The Laughing Medusa, and she has written articles for Feminine Power Circle, Savvy Authors, SF Signal, and The Qwillery, among others. She’s also appeared in the anthology books Folk Horror Revival: Field Studies and Folk Horror Revival: Corpse Roads.

She co-wrote the dark fantasy trilogy, Saurimonde, is currently seeking publication for a sci-fi novel called Spaceship X’odus, and is developing a TBA project. Recently, she led the ritual at Bell, Book, and Candle’s “Seance”. She’s available for paranormal investigations, seances, podcast guest spots, workshops/retreats, custom spells, and readings.
