John Huckert is an American filmmaker who has been making movies since he was a kid. He has worked in all aspects of the film industry, achieving notoriety both nationally and internationally as an independent guerrilla filmmaker. He is also known for living in one of the most famous haunted houses in America, affectionately called the Polaroid House. Quite by accident, while pointing a Polaroid camera into empty space and taking a picture, he and friends began capturing on Polaroid film what was often explained as the disembodied presence of a thoughtful spirit guide or guardian—genius loci, as the spirit described itself in one of the Polaroids. Since those first images were captured, the house has been opened from time to time to psychics, parapsychologists, paranormal researchers, skeptics and media studios alike. And once every few years the house hosts a killer Halloween party!
