Join Jessica as she goes "Into the Portal" with Kristen Payton. Kristen is a Bigfoot and Paranormal Field Researcher from northeast Georgia. She’s a registered nurse at her local hospital and has ADN and BSN with multiple certifications. She not only works full-time, but goes to school full-time, pursuing a higher degree in medicine. Kristen loves making music and searching for cryptids. She had her first life-changing Bigfoot sighting when she was 16 years old, as she was riding her ATV with a friend on her parent’s property near the Broad River, looking for an eagle’s nest. After purchasing the land, her family had several odd happenings, and they suspected it was a Bigfoot, but when Kristen spotted the mysterious creature, their suspicions were confirmed.

This sighting and experience had her curious and wanting to know and learn more. After meeting with some Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO) members, and local researchers, she began going into the field and researching with them. Kristen is a member of the Anomalous Studies and Observation Group (ASOG) and the North Georgia Cryptid Researchers (NGCR). She went out with the intention of searching for “Bigfoot” but has encountered so much more. Her search has taken her down the rabbit hole of the unknown. Now, she has more questions than answers. She has learned that there is much more to life than what you physically can see, touch, taste, smell, etc. You just have to open your eyes and be willing to accept that there is more to life than the eye can see.
