Micah Hanks is a longtime advocate for scientific research into unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). He is a contributing member of the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU), as well as a frequent commentator and writer on the subject, and maintains an interest in the history, and possible scientific explanations for aspects of the phenomenon. His other interests include space studies, zoological mysteries and unusual phenomena in nature. In 2020, Micah launched The Debrief with journalists Tim McMillan and MJ Banias, a news site and media enterprise which examines science and disruptive technology, The Debrief has closely followed developments related to the U.S. government’s collection and evaluation of information related to UAP.
