On Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 1 p.m. Pacific Time, 4 p.m. Eastern Time, the U.S. Transhumanist Party will stream the abridged, algorithmically compliant edition of the Virtual Enlightenment Salon that discussed planned new USTP Officer initiatives, including legislative activism, longevity outreach, and effective mobilization within the transhumanist movement. The conversation also extended to subjects of general interest to transhumanists, futurists, and those seeking to learn about the transhumanist movement. Subjects discussed included artificial intelligence (with a focus on Uplift), philosophy, religion, effective habit formation, and overcoming common misconceptions about transhumanism.
On Sunday, July 25, 2021, the U.S. Transhumanist Party invited its new Officers, Zach Richardson (Director of Publication), Jason Geringer (Legislative Director), and Ben Ballweg (Director of Longevity Outreach), to discuss some of their ideas, planned initiatives, and perspectives on the current condition of the transhumanist movement. The discussion focused on improving the internal functions of the U.S. Transhumanist Party, attracting volunteers, and raising the visibility of transhumanist projects and causes. An interactive discussion transpired about ways to bolster the publication and legislative-tracking activities of the USTP.
Other participants of this Salon included USTP Chairman Gennady Stolyarov II (who moderated the discussion), Art Ramon Garcia, Jr. (USTP Director of Visual Art), David Shumaker (USTP Director of Applied Innovation), and Alexandria Black (USTP Director of Community Resilience).
Although the original chat of the Salon could not be preserved, there will be an opportunity for a new interactive conversation in the YouTube chat, with several USTP Officers present for the occasion.
