On Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 1 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time, 4 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time, the U.S. Transhumanist Party will host a special panel discussion on reducing existential risk to the human species from the Russia-Ukraine conflict, with a focus on how to prevent World War III and nuclear war. Joining us for this Virtual Enlightenment Salon are some of the most insightful thinkers within the transhumanist community on the subject of existential risk, including David Pearce, David Wood, Newton Lee, and Kyrtin Atreides. We will need all of their insights to find ways to ensure that a nuclear war will not happen and how humankind could finally be persuaded to renounce and dismantle all nuclear weapons so as to prevent this particular kind of existential risk to our species from ever manifesting itself again.
