On Sunday, April 14, 2022, at 1 p.m. Pacific Time, 4 p.m. Eastern Time, the U.S. Transhumanist Party invites Simon Waslander and USTP Director of Publication Zach Richardson to discuss willpower and self-improvement. They will review chapters from “The Willpower Instinct: How Self-Control Works, Why It Matters, and What You Can Do to Get More of It” by Kelly McGonigal and will introduce the concept of “The Transhumanist Trial: A Fortnight of Fortitude”. This a challenge of discipline that invites the challengee to, for one two-week period, partake in 8 particular behaviors every day. These are all behaviors that are quantifiable and, in most cases, automatically recorded with no effort by the participant, to reduce book-keeping strain.
